CHRISTMAS From NEW York to Florida to Punta Cana, AKA CHRISTMAS IN PARADISE
Hello everyone and this is a message from the Adventurous Dr Dan Fife. I went on a Christmas themed trip 1-2 weeks ago. I went to New York City to see the Tree Lighting, but I didn’t know I had to have tickets to get up close. Oh well, there is always next year for that. I went to see other decorations. The windows in some of the stores were beautiful as they were colorful and well Christmas decorated. They had creative Christmas designs in them too. At Night, one place on 5th ave would light up and have Christmas singing in which ppl would stop and watch. I have recorded a video of it.
I then flew to Orlando to see their Christmas themed stuff at its parks. I went to Disney World and saw a big Christmas tree and Christmas decorations there. I attended it’s Christmas Party. They had a Christmas parade float with characters on it. Cinderella’s castle lit up to an ice color. I attended a Christmas show near Tomarrow land where people sang and danced and Buzz Light year and the Green Guy from Monsters inc joined in. The next day I went to New Port Richey to scope it out. After New Port Richey, I went to Sea World in Orlando for their Christmas events. It was nicely decorated with Christmas decorations and lights. I attended a Christmas singing show, an ice skating show and a Shamu Christmas show. I Saw Christmas decorations on International Dr in Orlando. The next day I went to Universal Studios for their Christmas events. I attended a Grinchmas Breakfast Brunch at the Islands of Adventure part of the park, where they had people dressed up as Dr Seuss Characters and the Grinch. I loved having my picture taken with the Grinch. That was great seeing the Grinch in Florida as he is from Mount Crumpit. I went to watch a retelling of the Grinch that was nearby in the Dr Seuss area. Later that day after going on the ET , Marvel, Simpsons and Harry Potter rides, I went to see the Universal Studios Thanksgiving Parade on the main part of the park and there were parade floats of Santa and Sponge Bob. After the parade, they lit up a tree in the New York area and had Christmas decorations on buildings. I then had dinner at a Hooters in Tampa and they had a Christmas tree there. Imagine a Christmas tree in a hot restaurant place, a pin literally.
Next Morning I left for Punta Cana for a couple days in Paradise. On top of going to the Beach and going on a pirate tour, I saw Christmas trees and decorations at Punta Cana and Higuey. The people in the Dominican celebrate Christmas like we do!
After Punta Cana, I then went Back to the US, where I went to Washington DC to see their National Tree which is near the White House. The Union Station near the Capitol had Christmas decorations
The airports and hotels in all the places I Went to had Christmas decorations too. Many of the larger stores were busy due to people Christmas shopping too. Below, are pictures of the Christmas decorations in each place (in order of when I got there to getting home).
