Folks, it’s that time again of another cruise and private event options for all you cruise goers lovers! Here is this news of Mount Washington / Lake W, the Winnipesaukee Spirit first touched Lake Winnipesaukee at 2:34 PM today (The day this story was written).

Tickets for this are now on sale and have been since May 3!

According to https://www.concordmonitor.com/New-cruise-boat-to-make-its-debut-on-Lake-Winnipesaukee-40266799, it is a 100 passenger 56 foot cruise boat and is the first expansion of the fleet in almost 60 years. IT has 2 decks, in and outdoor seating, and 2 small lounge areas that can be rented for semi-private gatherings.

Another vessel, a mail delivery boat on the lake celebrating its 3/4 of a century year, is making a comeback after repairs and renovations. The U.S. Mailboat Sophie C was last put in service 3 years ago. This vessel was first launched in August 1945 and was named for the mother of Bryan Hedlom, the owner ofthe Winnipesaukee Flagship Corporation at the time. In 1969, the boat took over a seasonal postal route of Laconia for the island residents on the western side of Winnipesaukee. The boat is the 5th vessel to carry the postal contract for the route and holds the most tenure. Generations of families and campers on the islands have relied on the vessel’s daily visits for letters and packages from the mainland. In more recent years, the vessel also offers snacks and ice cream novelties, the same as a floating ice cream truck you see. Ice Out was declared exactly a month ago today (when the story was written).

I have never had any experience on the Mount Washington Fleets except for in college when on the senior cruise! It also more feels like Summer when I see many get off the ship when it docks at night when I go out to the Weirs.
