I think that pumpkin fest belongs in downtown. More and more family’s make it an event to walk as a family. Way more parking. Way more room for festival events down there. So many new places for people to stroll main Street and check out. What about the new business in downtown. It’s all about the community! It’s not about the weirs in this aspect ( weirs is for bikeweek as it’s not the center of laconia) pumpkin fest is more about family then bike week. Let’s hope that we can keep pumpkin fest alive in downtown laconia right where it belongs.
